CROSS CULTURAL SOLUTIONS

Cross Cultural Solutions is a wonderful organization that markets volunteer vacations to those with a peace-corps mindset, but who cannot give up two years of their lives and don’t want to be unsafe while trying to contribute. CCS works with large NGOs as well as local communities to “piggyback” on their projects and make volunteer experiences available that last from one week to three months. You live in a safe and clean “Home Base” which is run by indigenous personnel. Volunteers eat the local specialties and have the opportunity to take part in programs to learn about the language, history, art and culture of their chosen locale.  

Ultimately, they change the lives of those they are there to help…but their own lives are changed perhaps even more. That was the key insight that The Observatory built the brand around: With a CCS trip you don’t just change the world…you change everything

CCS had never marketed, and in the current environment the competition for philanthropic advocates and dollars is fierce. All non-profits tend to sound alike. It has been an uplifting experience helping them stand out, and stand for something of global importance that can be done on an individual level.

Once we created the branding, the identity and the graphic look  for CCS, we wanted to begin at the beginning. They hold continuous gatherings around the country for prospects and people who have reached out for information. To start those gatherings, we created a video to introduce the new messaging. It created a wonderful mood and set the stage for actual past participants to talk about their experiences and answer questions.
